Jill Roiger, 38

Jill Marissa Roiger, 38, of Mound, died Friday, Aug. 1, 2008, at the Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia, after a 3 1/2 year courageous battle with breast cancer.

Born January 13, 1970, in New Prague, Jill was a daughter of Wayne and Jane (Johnson) Hines. She attended New Prague Public Schools, was a 1988 graduate of New Prague High School and a 1992 graduate of Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD. Jill married Keith Roiger on November 28, 1998, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in New Prague. She worked in communications sales and was a member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church in Eden Prairie.

She is survived by her husband; daughters Anna 6 and Isabella 3 1/2; her parents Jane Hines, New Prague and Wayne (Kathy) Hines, Shorewood; siblings Chris (K.T.) Hines, Bentonville, AR and Sally (Dan) Bowen, Concord, MA; stepbrother Michael (Jennie) Cole, Wayzata; in-laws Leonard and Marion Roiger, Springfield; brothers and sisters-in-law Nancy (Ernest) Vogel, Judy (Daniel) Schroeder, Ron (Carol) Roiger, Barb (Mark) Haschka, Rosie (Dale) Potter, Patsy (James) Petersen, Charlene (Chris) Haschka, Mary Kay (Don) Knudson, Mark (Jackie) Roiger, Tom (Darla) Roiger, Rich (Bev) Roiger and Jon (Sheila) Roiger; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held Monday, Aug. 4, at 4 p.m., at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in New Prague, with Rev. Rod Anderson and Rev. Dr. Steve Trewartha officiating.

Urnbearers were Jill's siblings.

Visitation was held from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday at the church.
