Joseph Guy Novak, age 83
Joseph Guy Novak, age 83 of Veseli, passed away on Monday June 20, 2016 at Friendship Manor Nursing Home in Shakopee.
Joseph was born on September 3, 1932 on a farm in Rice County in Veseli to Guy and Anna (Simon) Novak. He married Glorene Fahrenkamp on October 24, 1953. He was a farmer all his life and also worked at Cargill in Savage, Green Giant in Montgomery and Mystic Lake Casino in Prior Lake. Joe loved to dance. He was a smooth dancer to Waltz's and Polka's, playing euchre, snowmobiling in his younger years, being involved in the Monty's Marauders Saddle Club, being in parades with his little buggy, raccoon hunting, fishing, anything John Deere. He loved his farm. Preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Albert. Joseph is survived by his wife of 62 years, Glorene; children, Dennis, Cynthia, Linda (Paul) Novak-Dietz, Guy, and Vickie (Kris Papulas); grandchildren; Brenda (Paul) Laurent, Jennifer (Scott) Krenik, Jason, Michelle (Kenny Schmitt), Frank, Justin, Pam (James) Fett, Jennifer (Brandon) Busch, Elisabeth (Jason Meyer) Dietz, Ryan, Sadie Novak-Klug, and Chaise Novotny; beloved great grandchildren, Kimberly, Anthony, Casey, Shannon, Allen, Kylee, and Jaxson; sisters, Evelyn (Jim) Chlan and Mary Alice (Edward) Bastyr; sister-in-law, Elizabeth 'Betty' Novak; also by many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial was 10 a.m. Monday, June 27, 2016 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Veseli, MN. Visitation was from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at White Funeral Home in Lonsdale, and also one hour prior to Mass at the funeral home. Interment: Most Holy Trinity Cemetery.
