Joseph P. Stehlik, 79

Joseph P. Stehlik, 79, of Milwaukee, WI, died on Monday, May 9, 2005.

He was born in New Prague on March 17, 1926, to Joseph and Theresa (Sipiera) Stehlik. He attended school in New Prague and graduated in 1943. On June 19, 1943, he enlisted in the United States Navy, received V-12 training at Miami University, Oxford, OH, Midshipman School, Notre Dame, IN, and also post graduate at Fort Schuyler, NY. Joseph served seven months on the U.S. Haskell A.P.A. in the South Pacific and was honorably discharged in 1946.

Joseph married Patricia Thuemler in Milwaukee, WI, on May 1, 1952. He was employed at Biersach & Neidermeyer as a sheet medal designer for 43years.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Cheryl (James) Pontzloff, Milwaukee; Debra Herzer, California; grandchildren, Shanna Leidel and Makaulua and Rafael Concepcion, Milwaukee; two sisters, Margaret Stresnak, New Prague, Mamie Busch, Jordan; and other family members and friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents, sister, Theresa Krohn; brother, Francis Stehlik; brothers-in-law, Arthur Stresnak, Roger Busch, Gerald and James Thuemler, Dennis Oleck; and other relatives.

A Memorial service will be held on Monday, June 6, at 7 p.m. at the New Prague Alliance Church. Rev. Steven E. O’Dell will officiated.
