Joyce Dietz, 59
Joyce M. Dietz, 59, of Montgomery, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2007, at Queen of Peace Hospital in New Prague.
Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, at Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery, with Rev. Cory Rohlfing officiating.
Pallbearers will be Joyce's grandchildren: Tyler and Riley Dietz, Ashley and Alex Buckridge, Zack and Xaver Dietz and Mason Dietz.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Born January 20, 1948, in Vancroft, IA, Joyce was a daughter of Leonard and Mabel (Scheider) Hatten. She graduated from high school in Vancroft. On May 24, 1969, she married Russ Dietz in Vancroft and later moved to Montgomery from Mankato. Joyce worked as a teller at Casey's General Store in Montgomery. She enjoyed sports, especially watching ball games. She also enjoyed housekeeping and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband; five children, Jason (Megan) Dietz, Shakopee, Jennifer (Sean) Buckridge, Lonsdale, Matthew (Audrey) Dietz, New Prague, Jonathan (Jenny) Dietz, Westbend, WI and Mitchell Dietz, Montgomery; a brother, Dennis Hatten, Indianola, IA; four sisters, Patty Milfeek, Texas, Connie (Gerald) Reimers, Fenton, IA, Shirley (Paul) Johnson, Sioux Falls, SD and Marcita (Dwight) Lucia, New Mexico; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Thomas Hatten.
