Kids Camp offers 'fun and Son'

Children from Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, both in New Prague, enjoyed a Son, Surf Beach Bash as part of Kids Camp.
The two churches worked together to offer Kids Camp, a vacation Bible school held the week of Monday, June 13.
The 250 children, ages 4 to 10, rotated through nine stations that included Bible stories, verses, crafts and snacks. The week also included a theater where youngsters could watch movies and a treasure hunt. Holy Trinity also set up a beach area on the church grounds for activities. Eighty volunteers helped during the week's events.
The children also had a mission for the week, to help a school in Tanzania, located in east Africa. Their goal was to raise $400 for a laboratory, which they surfed past with a total of $480.
