Lady Bucs advance in Sub-Section

After the eight Section 2AA quarterfinal games  were played Tuesday night, only one lower seeded team upset a team which was seeded higher. That was the WEM girls basketball team, the No. 5 seed in the South Sub-Section. The Lady Bucs defeated No. 4 seed Fairmont, 67-59, at Fairmont. They now advance to play No. 1 seed NRHEG Friday, March 3 at 6 p.m. at Mankato East High School in the semifinals. The Championship will be played Tuesday, Feb. 7 at MSU-Mankato at 6 p.m.
