Lady Bucs receive No. 5 seed

The WEM girl basketball team received the No. 5 seed in the South Sub-Section, Section 2AA Playoffs, which start Tuesday. WEM, 10-15 overall, will faced Fairmont, 11-14 overall, Tuesday, Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. in Fairmont. No. 1 seed NRHEG (21-5) will host St. James (0-24). The winner will play the WEM/Fairmont winner Friday, March 3 at Mankato East High School at 6 p.m. The other first round match-ups include No. 2 seed Blue Earth Area (13-12) vs. No. 7 seed Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial (6-1) and No. 3 seed Maple River (16-9) vs. No. 6 seed Medford (6-17).
