Lana Puffer honored for work with New Prague ECFE
Lana Puffer, Early Childhood Family Education Coordinator for New Prague Area Schools, recently received recognition as the Coordinator of the Year from the Carver-Scott Educational Cooperative.
More than 100 people involved in area Community Education, Early Childhood and Child Literacy programs attended the Awards Breakfast, held in Chanhassen.
The Awards are presented to those individuals who have made significant contributions to early learning, Community Education, youth recreation and adult programming either as staff, administration, volunteers or community members. Puffer has been with Early Childhood Family Education in New Prague for more than 20 years, building the program to one that is recognized as one of the most effective in the Southeast Metro area.
Puffer and her staff have positively affected thousands of pre-school age children and their parents through classes, special events, trips and parent education. They will be expanding ECFE classes and services to residents of New Market at Eagle View Elementary and to the present Intermediate School site this fall.
