Laura Maus, 23

Laura Lea Maus, 23, of Chaska, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, in Brooklyn Center.

Laura was born September 10, 1989, in Le Sueur, a daughter of David and Jody (Green) Maus. She was raised in Le Sueur and New Prague, graduated from Le Sueur High School and also attended New Prague Public Schools. Laura loved volleyball, photography, and her nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her parents David and Pauline Maus, New Prague, and Jody and Eric Lehman, Chaska; grandmothers Shirley Wellcome, Superior, WI, Regina Maus, Henderson, and Armella Hinderscheit, New Prague; siblings Tara Maus (and boyfriend Tony Solomon), Le Sueur, Kevin Maus, New Prague, Brianna Maus, New Prague, Patrick (Ashlee) Green, Belle Plaine, Andrew Green (and fiance Megan Dueck), International Falls, Christopher Green, Le Sueur, Cassandra Hinderscheid (and fiance Brad Womble), Charlotte, NC, Amanda Hinderscheid, Mankato, Michael Hinderscheid, Bloomington, and Melanie Hinderscheid, New Prague; and seven nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her boyfriend Otis Walker III on January 3, 2013; grandfathers Walter Maus and Edgar Green; favorite uncle Everette Green Jr., and great-grandmother Bertha Maus.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 9, at 10 a.m., at the Bruzek Funeral Home in New Prague, with Deacon Bob Wagner officiating.

Interment was at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Henderson. Pallbearers were Kevin Maus, Pat Green, Andrew Green, Christopher Green, Michael Hinderscheid and Tony Solomon.

Visitation was held from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and 7:30 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Bruzek Funeral Home.
