Le Sueur Co. Board elects Wetzel as chair
The Le Sueur County Board held its reorganization meeting for 2015 on Tuesday, Jan. 6, and elected Commissioner Lance Wetzel chairman for the new year.
Commissioner John King was elected vice-chairman of the board.
Wetzel, of Le Center, represents the Fourth District. King, of Le Sueur, is the commissioner for the Third District.
Filling out the five-member board are Steve Rohlfing of Madison Lake, who served as chairman the past two years, Fifth District; Joe Connolly, Le Sueur, Second District; and David Gliszinski, New Prague, First District.
Darrell Pettis is the county administrator and engineer, and Brent Christian is the county attorney.
Redistricting of commissioner districts was completed in 2012. District Judge Mark Vandelist swore in all elected and reelected officials, including Commissioners Connolly, Rohlfing and Wetzel. “I am proud to be here, and I believe Le Sueur County is on the right track, because of you,” referring to the commissioners and other county officials.
