Le Sueur Co. Board, staff, discuss goals
Board Chairman John King moved swiftly through the agenda at the Tuesday, Jan. 26, Le Sueur County Board meeting. Following adjournment, the Commissioners and Department Heads held a workshop to discuss 2016 goals.
Chairman King had requested the workshop. He stated that he sees the Board as "more reactionary, instead of having a set course." King foresees the workshop will help with planning and budget prioritization.
As the Commissioners and staff shared their goals, space needs emerged as a common concern. Whether it be space for offices and equipment, space to house inmates or to conduct programs and interviews, or adequate space required by increasing regulations, space is in short supply.
Chairman King asked for the goal listings to be compiled, and requested a follow- up workshop in June or July to discuss progress on the goals.
