Le Sueur Co. moves forward with highway bonding

The Le Sueur County Board of Commissioners gave preliminary approval to proceed with a fall 2007 bond issue for highway improvements as part of its meeting agenda Tuesday, Sept. 4.

County Coordinator Peggy Donovan recently received correspondence from Bruce Kimmel, client representative with Springsted Inc. of St. Paul, giving the recommended timeline for issuance of general obligation capital improvement (CIP) bonds.

In his correspondence, Kimmel said, I understand that Le Sueur County may wish to issue CIP bonds this fall for approximately $2.5 million of highway improvements scheduled for 2008. If the county wants to proceed with a fall 2007 bond issue
