The Le Sueur County Board accepted the results of a German Jefferson sewer survey at its regular meeting held Tuesday, Sept. 5 at the courthouse in Le Center.
The subject of a possible sewer pipe being installed around the two lakes in the southwest portion of the county has been a controversial issue for some time. The county board was seeking input from German Jefferson property owners as to their interest in a pipe, and the results came back heavily negative against the idea by almost 2-to-1. A second question involved voluntary compliance inspection and it received strong positive response.
Question #1 asked: Do you want the County Board to proceed with the construction of a Sanitary Sewer System (sewer pipe) at an approximate cost of $15
