Ledwein repeats as state champ

The State Girls Class AAA individual golf championship stays in New Prague for the fourth straight year as senior Taylor Ledwein earned her second straight title.
Ledwein shot an even-par 72 at Bunker Hills Golf Club, holding on to the 1-under par score she posted on Tuesday, to earn the championship. She finished six strokes ahead of Hannah Hankinson of Edina and Megan Welch of Lakeville, who tied for second. First round co-leader Cayla Kim of Stillwater finished in a three-way tie for fourth.
Ledwein’s two championships come on the heels of the two collected by former Trojan Kenzie Neisen, giving New Prague four straight state individual crowns.
Ledwein will attend Bradley University in Peoria, IL, on a golf scholarship this fall.
Edina repeated as team champions with an even 600 strokes, 36 better than second place Forest Lake.
