Ledwein takes 2nd at Minnesota Amateur
Taylor Ledwein, representing the New Prague Golf Club, had three birdies on the back 9 at Northland Country Club in Duluth to finish in a second place tie, one stroke behind Kate Smith of Detroit Country Club at the Minnesota Golf Association Women’s Amateur Wednesday, July 26. Ledwein tied with Sarah Burnham of Rush Creek Golf Club.
Ledwein’s 2-under par 69 matched Smith’s Round 2 mark for best score in the 54-hole event. She had a three-day total of 219.
Ledwein, a two-time state high school champion at New Prague High School, will be a sophomore this fall at Bradley University in Peoria, IL, where she was Missouri Valley Conference newcomer of the year and first team All MVC this past season.
