Lee Menden, 80

Lee A. Menden, 80, of Shakopee, died Thursday, June 6, 2013, at his home.

Lee was born on July 20, 1932, in Marystown, a son of Jacob and Theresa (Klehr) Menden. He married Rosalyn “Tuddy” Ramaker on August 25, 1952, in Shakopee. He worked as a machinist at Continental Machines for over 38 years. Lee was a member of the James F. Campbell #1685 Knights of Columbus of Shakopee, and he volunteered his time at the Church of St. Mark. He also enjoyed painting and decorating, playing cards, traveling, and his plants. He adored spending time with his grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

He is survived by daughters Gloria “Jeannie” (Steve) Wanek, and Diane (Gerry) Mareck; daughter-in-law Debbie Menden (and husband Richard Rybak); 11 grandchildren David (Elyssa) Wanek, Kathy (Perry) Sarver, Lisa (Ryan) Carlson, Julie (Jack) Dusatko, Karen (Randy) Leiter, Ryan (Kathy) Mareck, Jason Mareck, Rachel (John) Kuelbs, Leah, Alex and Adam Menden; nine great-grandchildren; and a brother Jim (Linda) Menden.

He was preceded in death by his wife; a son Jeff; and brothers Ralph and Eldred.

Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, June 10, at 10:30 a.m., at the Church of St. Mark in Shakopee. Presiders were Rev. William Stolzman, Rev. Paul Moudry and Deacon Al Schroeder.

Interment was at the Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ryan Carlson, Jack Dusatko, Randy Leiter, Ryan Mareck, Jason Mareck, John Kuelbs, Alex Menden, Adam Menden, and Perry Sarver.

Visitation was held Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m., and Monday from 9 to 10 a.m., both at McNearney Funeral Home in Shakopee.
