Legion baseball team begins playoffs
The Montgomery American Legion Baseball Team for Post 79 will begin playoffs in the 2013 Third District Division II Baseball Tournament beginning at 12 p.m. on Saturday, July 20.
The local team on takes on Plato in the first rount of the double-elimination tournament.
The winner takes on the winner of the game against Pine Island and Lester Prairie.
The tournament continues Sunday.
According to the American Legion Post 79 website, the members of the team include Ted Christian, Robbie D’Amato, Aaron Dwyer, Andrew Feddema, Matt Holicky, Ryan Iverson, Joe Kalina, Max Kalina, Pat Lloyd, Cole Pint, Nathan Rosier, Joe Rynda, Trevor Smisek, Ryan Thompson, and David Trcka.
