Legion team ousted from playoffs

New Prague's Post 45 American Legion baseball team was eliminated from the Third District playoffs Saturday, with a 12-10 loss to Forest Lake.

On Friday, New Prague had advanced in the loser's bracket with a 7-4 win over Apple Valley. They opened the tournament with a win over Farmington Wednesday and then lost 9-0 to Mahtomedi on Thursday to go into the loser's bracket.

New Prague's 2-2 showing in the District Tournament gives them a 22-7 record for the season, including a league championship.

On Sunday, West St. Paul defeated St.
