Legion tryouts will be May 7

Tryouts for the New Prague Post 45 American Legion Baseball team will be next weekend.

Tryouts will be Saturday, May 7, at Memorial Park. 15- and 16-year-olds will try out at noon, and 17- and 18-year-olds try out at 1:30 p.m.

Terry Kalina will be the head coach this year, and he will be assisted by Pat Goggins

To be eligible for Legion baseball, players must be born on or after January 1, 1986.

The Second District has reorganized its alignment, and New Prague will be in a new league, facing teams from larger communities. New Prague has been placed in League C
