Leonard Ceplecha, 89
Leonard A. Ceplecha, 89, Lonsdale, died Monday, Sept. 19, 2011, surrounded by family at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester.
Leonard was born on October 29, 1921, in Erin Township, Rice County, to Albert and Rose (Flicek) Ceplecha. Leonard married Eleanor David on September 25, 1944, in Lonsdale where they farmed and raised seven children. He enjoyed farming, playing the accordion, listening to polkas and all old time music, dancing, playing euchre, fishing, gardening, cutting wood, driving tractor and being with his family.
Leonard is survived by his wife; daughters Carolyn (Ron) Honza, Owatonna, Jean (Rick) Reid, Appleton, WI, and Terry (Bob) Condon, Woodbury; sons Leonard (Cheryl) Ceplecha, Colorado Springs, CO, Gary Ceplecha, Faribault, David (JoAnn) Ceplecha, Lonsdale, and Dennis (MaryKay) Ceplecha, Webster; 23 grandchildren and 17 greatgrandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister Margaret Vosejpka.
Visitation will be held at Schoenbauer Funeral Home, Montgomery on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011, from 4 to 8 p.m.
The funeral service will be at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Montgomery, on Friday, Sept. 23, 2011, at 10:30 a.m.
Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
