On a lighter note...

This is a very serious time. The country has economic problems, a war in the Middle East and, if you hadn't noticed, an election coming up in less than a month.

But it's time to put aside all of your worries, at least for a few hours each day. That's because the baseball regular season has ended, and our Minnesota Twins are back in the playoffs. By Wednesday evening, the Twins will be facing off against the dreaded New York Yankees, who have eliminated them from the playoffs three times in the last few years.

People tend to take their sports seriously too. If you don't believe it, just listen to the sports radio shows where callers are worried about every minute detail of their favorite teams. You'll hear topics like Should Brewster be fired
