Lillian Marie Mattson
Lillian “Lil” Marie Mattson, 67, Excelsior, died August 1 surrounded by family after a courageous three-year battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband, Robert; son, Erik (Cara) of Lakeville; daughter, Karen Watkins (Michael) of Eden Prairie; sister, Ellen; and brothers, Paul (Betsy) and John; grandchildren, Brendan and Claire, along with other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by parents; Edward and Jeanetta Sedio; grandparents George and Lillian Wondra; Paul and Mary Sedio.
Lil married her Augsburg College sweetheart in 1971 and utilized her teaching skills in pre-school environments and later in business. Family always came first for Lil, and she was especially thrilled to share summertime on Lake Hubert near Brainerd and vacations in sunny Florida with her children and grandchildren.
This strong, spirited woman will be deeply missed by all.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, Aug. 18, 2016 from 5 to 7 p.m. with special remarks at 6:30 p.m. at Huber Funeral Home Chapel, 16394 Glory Lane, Eden Prairie (1/2 mi. S of Hwy. 5 on Cty Rd. 4). Celebration of her life will be immediately following the visitation at Wildfire Restaurant, Eden Prairie Mall, 8251 Flying Cloud Drive, Eden Prairie (952-914-9100) from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
