Lonsdale adds new face to council

Newly elected Lonsdale City Councilman Blaine Smith, and re-elected councilman Fritz Duban, and Mayor re-elect Tim Rud began new terms in office at a special Lonsdale council meeting, Thursday, Jan. 5.

The three city-elected officials took the oath of office, and committed themselves to faithfully and impartially uphold the duties of their elected positions in Lonsdale. The councilmembers are elected to a four-year term in office, and the Mayor to a two-year term.

Mayor Rud presented exiting Councilmmember Evelyn Duban with a plaque of appreciation for the eight years she served Lonsdale on the council.
