The Lonsdale City Council approved two final plats at its regular monthly meeting, July 28.

The first approval was for the Val-Rose Gardens addition that is located north of Arizona Street NW and between Grandview Park 4th Addition on the west and the Grandview Park Addition on the east.

The area is made up of 10 acres that will be subdivided into 21 single-family lots.

In the play, city planner, Tom Washa outlined several stipulations for the development. They dealt with soil borings, pond and nature usage, as well as what kinds and how many trees will be included in each lot.

“At least two trees per lot in the subdivision are required. Not less than two species of trees shall be planted in any block. Required trees must have a trunk diameter of three inches measured at one foot above the ground. Two trees will be required,” the memo to the council outlined.

The second approval from the council came for the final plat for Shadow Stone 2nd Addition that is located north of Harvest Ponds 2nd Addition, and east and south of the first addition of Shadow Stone.

This subdivision is relatively small, with six single-family lots.
