Lonsdale Council OKs police secretary, new squad car

When residents call the Lonsdale Police Department, they are soon to be greeted by the department's newly hired secretary instead of an answering machine.

The Lonsdale City Council met Thursday, Nov. 9 for a regular meeting and considered a motion to hire Candace Bastyr as the new part time secretary for the police department.

According to Police Chief Jason Schmitz, 25 people applied for the position.
