Lonsdale receives donation for new library

The opening of the new library in Lonsdale is getting closer thanks to the efforts of one local group. At the regular meeting of the Lonsdale City Council Thursday, Aug. 13, teens Nathan and Brianna Shaver, children of Bryan and Michele Shaver of Lonsdale, and members of Youths Against Low Expectations (YALE), donated $420 towards purchasing youth and teen materials for the new library. YALE raised the money during Community Days with a dunk tank, with Mayor Tim Rud and other public figures volunteering for dunking.
The library will be an asset to the community on many levels
