Lorraine F. Adamek, 82

Lorraine F. Adamek, 82, of Webster, died on Friday, Jan. 21, 2005, at St. Gertrude Nursing Home in Shakopee.

Born in Wheatland Township, Rice County, on July 13, 1922, Lorraine was the daughter of John and Bessie (Trcka) Flicek. She grew up in rural Montgomery and lived the rest of her life in rural Webster.

Lorraine married Myles L. Adamek on June 22, 1942 in Lonsdale. Besides being a homemaker, Lorraine was employed by the Cako Company in Lonsdale and Faribault. She was a member of the Lonsdale American Legion Auxiliary Post #586 and the Most Holy Trinity Altar Society.

She is survived by two sons, Lawrence (Joyce) Adamek, Webster, and Leonard, Lonsdale; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; mother, Bessie Trcka, New Prague; five sisters, Georgina Barta, Montgomery, Evelyn (Elmer) Bartusek, Webster, Lillian (Joe) Havlicek, New Prague, Betty Ann (Joe) Ziskovsky, Webster, Donna (Ron) Dols, New Prague; sister-in-law, Marion Flicek, Montgomery.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Myles, on May 8, 1977; father, John Flicek; stepfather, George Trcka; brother, Elmer Flicek; special friend, George Kovarik; brother-in-law, Ben Barta.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 25, at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Veseli. Father John Lapensky officiated.

Pallbearers were Scott, Todd, Jeff and Terry Adamek, Pat Silgen, Jeff Nerud and Nate Proshek.

Interment was at Most Holy Trinity Cemetery in Veseli.

Visitation was at Bruzek Funeral Home in New Prague on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Wake prayers were said at 7 p.m. on Monday.
