Lorraine Kasparek, 86
Lorraine Kasparek, 86, of Faribault, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2008, at the District One Hospital in Faribault.
Lorraine Catherine Ceplecha, the daughter of Thomas C. and Katherine (Flicek) Ceplecha, was born on December 7, 1921, in Erin Township, Rice County. She married Archie Kasparek on September 3, 1940, in Lonsdale. He preceded her in death on October 28, 1998. She farmed for many years with her husband in Wells Township. Lorraine also worked for 22 years at the Faribault State Schools. She was a member of the Faribault Aerie 1460, Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary.
She is survived by five children Darlene Kasparek, Crookston, Ardyce (Conrad) Bahe, Owatonna, Loretta (Jim) Knoke, Seattle, WA, Archie (Karen) Kasparek Jr., Faribault and Donald (Sandy) Kasparek, Faribault; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a son, Raymond, in infancy; and a brother, Ted.
Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, Jan. 30, at 11 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church at Sacred Heart in Faribault. Interment was at the Maple Lawn Cemetery in Faribault.
Visitation was held on Wednesday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the church.
Arrangements were with the Parker Kohl Funeral Home of Faribault.
