Lunder is city's new building inspector
Patrick Fisher, Staff Writer
Chad Lunder is the new building inspector for the city of New Prague and is already familiar with the community, having grown up here.
The son of Paul Lunder and Mary Halloway, he is a 1988 graduate of New Prague High School and still lives in the city.
Lunder worked in construction for 10 years, and it was through that experience he decided to become a building inspector. He attended Inver Hills Community College and received a two-year degree and a building inspections certificate. He also has a state building officials license and an ICC and UBC building inspections license.
He has nearly 10 years experience in the field, working for Bloomington for two years, Scott County for four years and three and-a-half years with Shakopee.
An aspect of the job he likes is that he enjoys being outdoors.
I didn't want a job that was inside all day
