Mala Strana residents have a saintly visitor
Patrick Fisher, Staff Writer
Providing the good news of the birth of the Christ Child and sweets, St. Nicholas visited residents of Mala Strana Health Care Campus on Thursday, Dec. 7.
The saintly visitor stopped by the main meeting room and the Little Village portion of Mala Strana. He talked with residents, sang some hymns, held a communion service and with help handed out candy canes.
St. Nicholas, also known as Bob Smishek of Shakopee, who grew up in New Prague, is the son of Angela and the late Joseph J. Smishek. He is a 1961 graduate of New Prague High School.
