Mary Larson, 81

Mary E. Larson, 81, of New Prague, died Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at the Mala Strana Health Care Center in New Prague.

Mary was born October 16, 1930, in Tamarack, MN, a daughter of R. Thomas and Myrtle (Paxon) Brodhead. She was raised at Tamarack, moved to Fairhaven and then Anoka. She attended Howard Lake High School, Northwestern Bible College and Minnesota School of Business. Mary married Robert D. Larson on December 10, 1955, in Anoka. She lived in Minneapolis before moving to rural New Prague in 1964. Mary worked as a secretary in the Hennepin County Probation Office, and also at the Heart Institute and Office of Development at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.

She is survived by her husband; two daughters Sharon (Barry) Moore, Eagan, and Carol (Samih) El Ghandour, Bloomington; four grandchildren; and two brothers James (Pat) Brodhead, Seattle, WA, and David (Betty) Brodhead, Zumbrota.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and four siblings Russell Brodhead, Thomas Brodhead, Marilyn Brodhead and Daniel Brodhead.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 22, at 3 p.m., at Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Lakeville, with the Rev. Donald Reigstad officiating.

Interment is at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.

Visitation is at the church one hour prior to the service.

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.

Arrangements are with the Bruzek Funeral Home in New Prague.
