Masopust is Tuesday

It's time to beat the winter blues and kick up your heels at the Czech Mardi Gras --Masopust. Once again this year, Czech food favorites like pork & dumplings, chlebicky (a Czech sandwich), Czech potato salad, zelnicky, kolacky and parek (hot dogs) will be served.

Costumes are optional and prizes will be awarded to those with the best adult and child Czech Mardi Gras attire.

Entertainment will be provided by the Larry Novotny Trio and the Domaci Czech Children Dancers, followed by the coronation of a Masopust King. A silent auction with a variety of items rounds out the evening.

The party starts at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 24 at the Montgomery American Legion Club. Tickets are available at the door. For more information, call 507-364-5577.
