Car seat checkup clinic is Nov. 20
There will be a free car seat safety checkup from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 20, at New Prague Auto Group, 1185 280th Street West, New Prague. Parents, grandparents and others who transport children on a regular basis may stop in. No appointments are necessary.

Certified technicians from New Prague EMS and New Prague Auto Group will meet one-on-one with drivers who transport children on a regular basis.
Thanksgiving November Kids Kraft Nov. 20
The Scott County Historical Society will hold a Kids Kraft family event from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, at the Scott County Historical Society at 235 Fuller St. S. in Shakopee.
Spend a Saturday morning with your kids at the museum for a fun hands-on kids craft and rousing good story. This is a free event but registrations are required. Call 952-445-0378 or email info@scottcountyhistory.org
Bereavement Support Group meets Nov. 22
Bereavement Support Group will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 22, at St. Scholastica Parish House in Heidelberg. People from all faith traditions experiencing a loss of someone significant are welcome.

The 8:15 p.m. Saturday Regional mass has moved to St. John's in Union Hill from now until May. All are welcome.

Suicide Grief Support Meeting
The Suicide Grief Support group will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, in the Jameen Mape Conference Room (lower level) at Queen of Peace Hospital in New Prague. Enter through the Emergency Room doors (southwest entrance). Take the southeast elevator, marked 2, to the lower level and follow the signs to the Jameen Mape Conference Center.
Family, friends, neighbors and anyone affected by a suicide death is welcome. No registration required and there is no fee.

WIC Voucher pickup is Nov. 23
The CAP Agency WIC coucher pick-up date for all residents of Scott County is from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, at the CAP Agency 712 Canterbury Road South in Shakopee. For information call 952-402-9869.

The Scott County HHW Facility will be closed Thursday, Nov. 25, and Saturday, Nov. 27, for the Thanksgiving Holiday.
Annual 5K Turkey Trot is Nov. 25
Runners and walkers of all ages and skill are invited to participate in the Second Annual IRIS 5K Turkey Trot, Thanksgiving morning, Nov. 25, beginning with the Kids Fun Run at 8 a.m. and 5K run and walk starts at 8:30 a.m. Registration starts at 7:30 a.m.
This event is open to the public. Paying registrants will receive a free race t-shirt while supplies last, refreshments, and the ability to create a team fundraising page on the IRIS website.
