Wheatland Sportsman Club Meets July 14

Wheatland Twin Lakes Sportsman Club will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19, at the American Legion Club in Montgomery. Election of officers will take place after the meeting. Public is welcome to attend.


No Car Seat Clinic for July

There will be no car seat checkup event at New Prague Auto Group on Saturday, July 16. The free safety inspections, sponsored by New Prague Area EMS and New Prague Auto Group, will resume next month, with the August clinic held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 20, at New Prague Auto Group. New Prague Sportsman's annual picnic is July 17

The New Prague Sportsman Club will be having their annual family picnic and meeting Sunday, July 17. The meeting will take place at the Memorial Park Pavilion by the Park Ballroom at noon. Prostate Cancer Support Group to meet July 20

The Prostate Cancer Support Group held in the Solarium at Mayo Clinic Health System in New Prague on Wednesday, July 20, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., welcomes input from individuals who have or have had prostate cancer. This group provides a confidential setting where individuals and family members can talk freely about issues affecting their daily lives. The group's purpose is to provide positive common experiences and serves as an educational forum for learning more about the disease, its treatment and other issues related to prostate cancer.

Get Married or renew your vows at the fair July 23

Don't miss this opportunity to tie the knot, or re-tie it on Saturday, July 23, for free. The Rice County Historical Society will be sponsoring the Sixth Annual Fair Weddings.

Weddings and vow renewals will take place during the 2011 Rice County Agricultural Fair at the historic Holy Innocents Church located on the east side of the fairgrounds. An officiant will be provided, or couples may use their own officiant. All couples are required to have a legal Minnesota Marriage license at the time of service.
