Join the New Prague Library Thursdays, July 7 and July 14, featuring local notables reading for our Celebrity Family Storytimes.

American Legion, Auxiliary summer picnic July 10

Charles Borak Post 45, American Legion and its Auxiliary, New Prague, will hold their annual summer family picnic on Sunday, July 10, at the American Legion club room, Park Ballroom. The event begins at noon.

Lonsdale Golden Agers meet July 12

Lonsdale Golden Agers meeting will be at noon on Tuesday, July 12,. at the Crusader Civic Center. This will be the club's annual pot-luck picnic.

Food committee is Marion Skluzacek, Marion Jirik, Harriet Budin and Angie Skluzacek. Cards will be played. All seniors 55 and older, please join us in the fun.

Magic Tree House Party July 12

Magic Tree House Party 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12, at the New Prague Library. Enjoy activities and fun based on Jack and Annie's adventures in the Magic Tree House series of books.

Teen dinner and movie night July 13

Enjoy free pizza and a great summer flick, Wednesday, July 13, at 6 p.m. at the New Prague Library. Please call 952-758-2391 to register for this event.

Czech Heritage Club annual club picnic July 13

The Czech Heritage Club will hold their annual club picnic at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13, at Richter's County Park near Montgomery. There will be an update on Czech Village at Dozinky. The picnic is open to the public. Please bring a dish to pass and your own beverage.

Prairie Quilters work day July 14

The Prairie Quilters of the New Prague area will have a work day from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 14, at the State Bank of New Prague. Our meeting will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. We will have show and tell and finish what needs to be done. Any person or persons who would like to come and help us during the day is cordially invited to come and help. Just bring a scissors, and maybe your lunch. We will be tying donation quilts all day so come and help for as long as you can. These quilts will be donated whenever they are needed or close to the holidays. Growing through Grief group meeting July 14

Designed to meet the needs of those experiencing grief due to the death of a loved one or those companioning someone experiencing loss, the Growing Through Grief support group can help through education and peer support. Whether your loss has happened recently or several years ago, this support group can help you through a lonely and frightening time.

The meeting will be held on Thursday, July 14, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Solarium at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in New Prague (Formerly Queen of Peace Hospital). To register or receive more information, contact the education department at 952-758-8187.
