Le Sueur County American Legion, meets Dec. 2
The Le Sueur County Council of the American Legion and Auxiliary will hold a quarterly meeting at the Park Ballroom club room in New Prague on at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2. Post 45 and its Auxiliary will host the event.
Committee reports will be given.
The speaker for the event will be Staff Sergeant Michael LaDuke of New Prague, who will talk about duty with the U.S. Army while on deployment in Kosovo.
Included on the agenda are events at the Hastings Veterans Home, the upcoming county-wide clergy dinner and the coloring contest.
Legion and Auxiliary members of posts in Le Sueur County are welcome to attend this meeting.
Lunch and refreshments will be served afterwards.
VFW Post 5145, Auxiliary to meet Thursday, Dec. 3
Gopher Post 5145, New Prague Veterans of Foreign Wars, and its Auxiliary, will hold their regular monthly meetings at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, at the Park Ballroom, New Prague.
The Auxiliary will host the veterans at a Christmas party dinner. It will precede the meeting at 6:30 p.m.
Veterans annual Christmas party is Friday, Dec. 11
The veterans annual Christmas party will be held at the Park Ballroom, New Prague, on Friday evening, December 11.
The social hour starts at 6 p.m. followed by dinner at 7 p.m.
All area veterans, their wives, husbands or lady friends are invited to attend. The Legion and V.F.W. auxiliaries and their spouses are also invited.
Refreshments and the dinner will be included in the admission price.
Non-perishable food donations may be made at the party and will be given to the Peace Center in New Prague.
