VFW Post 5145, Auxiliary to meet Oct. 7

Gopher Post 5145, New Prague Veterans of Foreign Wars, and its Auxiliary, will hold their regular monthly meetings at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 7, at the Park Ballroom, New Prague.

Lunch and refreshments will be served prior to the meeting starting at 7 p.m.

K of C Chicken BBQ is Oct. 10

The New Prague Knights of Columbus will be hosting a Chicken BBQ open to the public starting at 5 p.m. until sold out on Sunday, Oct. 10. Cost includes potato salad, cole slaw, garlic bread, and cake. Take outs available at the door.

Czech Heritage Club to meet Oct. 13

The Czech Heritage Club will meet at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 13, in the upstairs meeting room of the New Prague City Hall.

Prairie Quilters meet Oct. 14

The Prairie Quilters of the New Prague area will hold their next meeting from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 14, at the State Bank of New Prague.

Jerry Fried will demonstrate how to clean and maintain your machine plus using the accessories. There will also be a show and tell and updates on the Dozinky quilt and upcoming events.

Growing Through Grief meets Oct. 14

Designed to meet the needs of those experiencing grief due to the death of a loved one or those companioning someone experiencing loss, the Growing Through Grief support group can help through education and peer support. Whether your loss has happened recently or several years ago, this support group can help you through a lonely and frightening time.

The meeting will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 14, in the Solarium at Queen of Peace Hospital.
