Yellow Ribbon group will meet Jan. 8 in Prior Lake The Beyond the Yellow Ribbon (BTYR) South of the River group will meet from 7 to 8:15 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, in the lower level of the Prior Lake VFW Club. This meeting is in lieu of the normal first Tuesday meeting date, which fell on New Year’s Day.

Golden Agers meet Jan. 8 The Lonsdale Golden Agers will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, at the Lonsdale Civic Center.

The lunch committee of Marion Jirik, Lillian Uhlir and Irene Horejsi will have a “surprise lunch.”

Growing Through Grief group meets January 10 Designed to meet the needs of those experiencing grief due to the death of a loved one or those companioning someone experiencing loss, the Growing through Grief support group at Mayo Clinic Health System in New Prague can help through education and peer support. Whether your loss has happened recently or several years ago, this support group can help you through a lonely and frightening time.

The next meeting will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, in the Solarium at Mayo Clinic Health System in New Prague.

Prairie Quilters meet Jan. 10 The Prairie Quilters of the New Prague area will hold their next meeting on Thursday, Jan 10, at the New Prague City Hall.

Life-Work Planning Center begins new workshop series Life-Work Planning Center will present its 10-week workshop series on Personal Growth and Career Development in Le Sueur.

Workshops begin Thursday, Jan. 10, at the Le Sueur Community Center, 118 E. Ferry St. Life-Work Planning Center provides a supportive environment to explore career/ job options, build selfesteem, create healthy boundaries in relationships, gain confidence in making decisions and becoming self-sufficient.

Life-Work Planning Center is a workforce development program for women going through life changes. It offers a tried and true approach to career development and personal growth, creating more satisfying employment and relationships with self and others. Workshops are also offered in New Ulm, St. James, St. Peter, Waseca, Gaylord, Fairmont and Mankato.

BLS class offered at MCHS Mayo Clinic Health System in New Prague is offering a BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR class from 8 a.m.-noon Saturday, Jan. 12, in Queen’s Court, located at 311 Columbus Ave. N. in New Prague.

The class is designed for those who respond to lifethreatening emergencies and teaches CPR for victims of all ages, automatic external defibrillator (AED) use and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction.
