AA groups meet regularly in New Prague New Prague Alcoholics Anonymous holds five meetings each week in New Prague.
The organization meets at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church at 8 p.m. Mondays, 8 p.m. Thursdays and 9 a.m. Fridays. Meetings are held at New Prague Alliance Church at 7:30 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday.
Alanon, for friends and families of alcoholics, also meets at 8 p.m. Mondays at Holy Trinity.
Narcotics Anonymous meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday at FaithPoint Lutheran Church (the former State Bank of New Prague building). Call 952-457-2389 for more information.
Beginner ice fishing class is Feb. 10 Cedar Lake Farm Regional Park, north of New Prague, will hold "Beginning Ice Fishing" from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10.
Learn what equipment is needed to have a successful ice fishing trip. See types of lures and bait, and view the use of an ice auger and fish house being set up. Class includes ice and cold weather safety and emergency response information. After instructions, participants will have an opportunity to try their luck at ice fishing. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
There is a small cost and reservations are required. For reservations call 763-559- 6700 and reference activity number #127711-00. This program is for ages 8 and older.
Look Good… Feel Better session is Feb. 12 Cancer can rob a woman of her energy, appetite and strength. It doesn't have to take away her self-confidence. Look Good…Feel Better is a free program that teaches beauty techniques to female cancer patients in active treatment. Participants will receive instructions and advice on dealing with the temporary appearance changes of cancer treatment and $250 worth of free cosmetics.

Czech Heritage Club meets Feb. 13 Members of the New Prague Czech Heritage Club are welcome to attend the upcoming supperette and business meeting 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, in the upstairs meeting room of the New Prague City Hall. Guest speaker, New Prague Mayor Chuck Nickolay, will be followed by a short business meeting.
Growing Through Grief meets Feb. 14 Designed to meet the needs of those experiencing grief due to the death of a loved one or those companioning someone experiencing loss, the Growing through Grief support group can help through education and peer support. Whether your loss has happened recently or several years ago, this support group can help you through a lonely and frightening time.

NPCL annual meeting Feb. 16 The New Prague-Ceska- Louisville (NPCL) Mutual Insurance Company will hold its annual meeting at the Knights of Columbus Hall in New Prague on Saturday, Feb. 16. The meeting will start at 10:30 a.m. with registration beginning at 9:30 a.m.
An election will be held for two board members whose terms have expired. There will be a guest speaker. After the meeting, drawings for prizes will be held followed by dinner and entertainment.
