Senior Citizens meeting on May 5 The New Prague Senior Citizens will meet at 12:45 p.m. on Friday, May 5, at the New Prague City Hall, second floor meeting room, 118 Central Ave. N. The bus picks up senior citizens every Wednesday, for local shopping. For reservations call 952-496-8341. All seniors are welcome to join the club for meetings and cards the first Friday of each month at 12:45 p.m.

Windmill Animal Rescue to hold vaccination clinic on May 6 Windmill Animal Rescue will hold a Vaccination Clinic from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, at Windmill Feed and Pet Supply, 350 Main St. in Elko New Market. People can have their pets vaccinated at a discounted fee. The clinic will offer vaccinations, heartworm tests, microchipping and other health products will also be available. No appointments are necessary. Owners should bring their pets in on leashes or in carriers.

Lydia Church Garden Party to be held on May 6 Spring is in the air and the Lydia Zion Church Women are ready to help people get their hands in the dirt by hosting Lydia’s Garden Party from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 6. The Garden Sale will be held in the church parking lot on the corner of Highway 13 and 205th Street, located just about eight miles north of New Prague. In addition to the plant sale, there will be a Lydia Bake Sale in the church’s Gathering Room with free coffee in the morning. At 11:30 a.m. meet neighbors and friends for a free-will offering lunch.

‘Our Czech Heritage Club’ to meet May 10 “Our Czech Heritage Club” will be holding its May meeting at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10, at the New Prague Memorial Library, 400 Main St E. Any member who has not yet dropped off garage sale items can do so after the meeting.
