Zimprich retirement party June 27
The Le Sueur County Historical Society invites the public to a retirement party honoring Shirley Zimprich, Le Sueur County's Family Historian and Genealogist, 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 27, at the Izaak Walton Center, Le Sueur County Fairgrounds, Le Center.
VFW, Auxiliary to hold summer picnic
Gopher Post 5145, Veterans of Foreign Wars, New Prague, and its Auxiliary, will hold their annual summer family picnic on Sunday, June 27, at the American Legion club room, Park Ballroom.
The event begins at noon.
Bereavement group meet June 28
There will be a Bereavement Support Group meeting for those grieving the death of a loved one at the parish house of St. Scholastica Church, Heidelberg, at 7 p.m., on Monday, June 28.
This is an open group and people from all faith traditions are welcome.

CPR Classes Made Simple on June 28
CPR Made Simple is a new course developed by the American Red Cross that is ideal for those who want to know more about Adult CPR/AED skills, but do not want or need the in-depth knowledge and skills learned in a full certification course. This one-hour, non-certification, instructor-led course provides an opportunity for individuals to experience hands-on practice of lifesaving skills.
The Red Cross is offering free CPR Made Simple classes on Monday, June 28. Hourlong courses begin at 3, 5:30 and 7 p.m. in Faribault.
