Girl Scouts plan stuffed animal collection
New Prague Girl Scout troops are having a stuffed animal collection and bake sale for the flood victims in Iowa from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 27, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in New Prague. For information, call Kris Shotwell, 952-758-4571.
WIC voucher pickup scheduled
The CAP Agency WIC voucher pick-up dates for all residents of Scott County are held on the second Monday, third Thursday and fourth Tuesday of each month. Pick-up times are from 9 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 4 p.m. at the CAP Agency, 712 Canterbury Rd S in Shakopee.

VFW, Auxiliary summer picnic set
Gopher Post 5145, Veterans of Foreign Wars, New Prague, and its Auxiliary, will hold their annual summer family picnic Sunday, June 29, in the clubroom at the American Legion Park Ballroom in New Prague.
The event begins at noon.
Lonsdale Golden Agers will meet
The Lonsdale Golden Agers will meet at noon Tuesday, July 1, at the Crusader Civic Center in Lonsdale. A July picnic and potluck dinner will be held. The afternoon will be spend socializing.
The serving committee includes Mary Jean Sirek, Jeanette Kes and Stella Jirik.
NP Seniors will meet Friday, July 11
The New Prague Senior Citizens Club will meet at 12:30 p.m. Friday, July 11, in the upstairs clubroom at the New Prague City Hall.
A potluck lunch will be held, with the meeting to follow - bring your favorite dish to share.
Valeria Wolf and Josie Bartusek are on the August lunch committee. Anyone who is unable to serve must find his or her own substitute.
The seniors are planning a bus trip to see Church Basement Ladies-No. 2 at the Plymouth Playhouse July 31. For information, call Elaine, 952-758-5012.
Buses pick up senior citizens for local shopping every Wednesday. The bus goes to Burnsville on the third Thursday of the month. For reservations, call 952-496-8341.
