‘Our Czech Heritage Club’ to meet on June 14 Our Czech Heritage Club will be holding its June meeting at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14, at the New Prague Memorial Library, 400 Main St. E. Come and learn how to play Mariásˇ a card game popular in the Czech Republic. Remember, also, to check out the club’s garage sale on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, June 8-10 at 211 First Ave. NE. The sale is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
NAMI family support group to meet in Northfield NAMI Minnesota (National Alliance on Mental Illness) sponsors free support groups for families and friends of individuals living with a mental illness. Led by trained facilitators who also have a family member with mental illness, the support groups help families develop better coping skills and find strength through sharing their experiences. Afamily support group meets in Northfield on the first and third Tuesdays of each month, from 7-8:30 p.m., at the Northfield Community Resource Center, 1651 Jefferson Parkway, in Room HS 222.
