AA groups meet regularly in New Prague New Prague Alcoholics Anonymous holds five meetings each week in New Prague. The organization meets at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church at 8 p.m. Mondays, 8 p.m. Thursdays and 9 a.m. Fridays. Meetings are held at New Prague Alliance Church at 7:30 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday. Alanon, for friends and families of alcoholics, also meets at 8 p.m. Mondays at Holy Trinity. Narcotics Anonymous meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday at FaithPoint Lutheran Church (former State Bank building). Call 952-457-2389 for more information.
VFW, Auxiliary to hold picnic June 30 Gopher Post 5145, New Prague Veterans of Foreign Wars, and its Auxiliary will hold their annual family picnic at 12 noon Sunday, June 30, at the Park Ballroom’s club room in New Prague.
Separated & Divorce Support Group meets July 2 Area Separated & Divorce Support Group meets the first Tuesday of the month from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at St. Wenceslaus Church, lower level, 215 Main St. E., New Prague. The next session is Tuesday, July 2. Come and experience good support as you move through this time in your life. People of all faiths are welcome. New Prague Senior Citizens meet July 5 The New Prague Senior Citizens will meet at 12 p.m. (noon) on Friday, July 5, at the New Prague City Hall second floor club room for a pot luck lunch. The bus picks up senior citizens for local shopping every Wednesday. The bus goes to Burnsville the third Thursday of each month. For reservations call 952-496- 8341. All seniors are welcome to join the club for meetings and cards the first Friday of the month at 12:45 p.m.
Healthcare Provider CPR class July 13 Mayo Clinic Health System in New Prague is offering a BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR class from 8 a.m.-noon Saturday, July 13, in the Jameen Mape Conference Center. The class is designed for those who respond to life-threatening emergencies and teaches CPR for victims of all ages, automatic external defibrillator (AED) use and relief of foreignbody airway obstruction.
