Scott Co. HHW Facility closed July 3
The Scott County Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Facility located at 588 Country Trail East in Spring Lake Township, will be closed on Saturday, July 3, for the Independence Day Holiday Weekend. They will reopen for normal operation on Wednesday, July 7. The RE-USE Room will also be closed on July 3.
Growing Through Grief meets July 8
Designed to meet the needs of those experiencing grief due to the death of a loved one or those companioning someone experiencing loss, the Growing Through Grief support group can help through education and peer support. Whether your loss has happened recently or several years ago, this support group can help you through a lonely and frightening time.
The meeting will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 8 in the Solarium at Queen of Peace Hospital.

Prairie Quilters
meet July 8
The Prairie Quilters of the New Prague area will hold an informal meeting from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, July 8, at the State Bank of New Prague.

Jordan historic
walking tour July 10
The Scott County Historical Society is hosting a walking tour of historic Water Street in Jordan. Meet at the southwest corner of Broadway and Water Street at 9 a.m., Saturday, July 10.
Fee includes the guided tour and booklet. Registrations are required, limited space.

Personal Growth Workshops start July 14
Life Work Planning Center will begin its Summer Personal Growth and Career Development Workshop Wednesday, July 14, at the Le Sueur Public Library, 118 E. Ferry Street, beginning at 10 a.m. and will meet for two hours weekly for five weeks.
These supportive workshops are for women, employed or not, who are experiencing change and transition in their lives and want to build confidence.
