Fire prevention day is Saturday, July 28

The Scott County area fire departments will sponsor fire prevention day on Saturday, July 28, at the Scott County Fairgrounds. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., all fairgoers are invited to take pictures and view the fairgrounds from the top of the Shakopee Fire Department's aerial truck.


Saturday is local church open house

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints recently completed construction of a new meetinghouse that will serve church members in New Prague, Jordan, Belle Plaine, Webster and nearby communities.
