Car Seat Safety Clinic is Aug. 16
The New Prague Ambulance Service, in cooperation with New Prague Ford-Lincoln-Mercury, will hold its monthly Car Seat Safety Clinic from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 16, at the local dealership. Certified technicians from New Prague Ambulance Service will check the child safety seat, including boosters, to ensure that the product is safe, fits the child and is properly installed.

Alzheimer's Association meets Aug. 18
The Lutheran Home-Belle Plaine and its chapter of the Alzheimer's Association provide resources and a support group for community members whose lives are touched by Alzheimer's Disease and other memory loss disorders. The monthly support groups are free and open to the public.
The monthly support group will meet from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, in the Hope Residence Conference room at The Lutheran Home-Belle Plaine. Caring and Sharing will be the topic.

Wheatland-TL Sportsmen meet Aug. 19
The Wheatland Twin Lakes Sportsmen Club will host its monthly meeting at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 19, at the American Legion in Montgomery.
Election of officers will be held that evening. The public is welcome to attend.
NAMI support group meets in Shakopee
The National Alliance on Mental Illness of Minnesota (NAMI-MN) sponsors free support groups for families who have a relative with a mental illness.
Led by trained facilitators who have a family member with mental illness, the support groups help families develop better coping skills and find strength through sharing their experiences. A family support group meets in Shakopee at 6:30 p.m. on the first and third Wednesdays of the month at the Valley Green Workforce Center, 752 Canterbury Road. The next meeting is August 20.
