Lonsdale Golden Agers meet Sept. 3 The Lonsdale Golden Agers will be meeting 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, in the Lonsdale Civic Center. New members are welcome, 55 and over. Lunch committee is Marion and Norbert Skluzacek, Gladys Douda and Mary Nohava. Cards and bingo will be played. Sloppy Joes will be served. For more information call Mary Nohava 507-744-2608.
LS County Legion will meet Sept. 4 The Le Sueur County Council of the American Legion and Auxiliary will hold its quarterly meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, at the Park Ballroom Clubroom in New Prague. Darlene Wondra of Montgomery, former State Auxiliary President and currently secretary-treasurer of the county council, will be the guest speaker. Her topic will be “Project New Hope, a Veterans Retreat.” Also on the agenda will be the election of county council officers and their installation, the county veterans service officer’s report, and bingo at the Hastings Veterans Home. New Prague Post 45 and its Auxiliary will host the meeting, with lunch and refreshments afterward. Members of posts and auxiliaries in Le Sueur County are welcome to attend.
Senior citizens to meet Sept. 6 The New Prague Senior Citizens will meet at 12:45 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, at the New Prague City Hall second floor club room. Evelyn Moore and Jo Bachinski will be in charge of lunch. Members on the cookie committee for Mala Strana on Tuesday, Sept. 10, are Dorothy Jirak-Moore, Harriet Schoenbauer, Muretta Prokes, and Henry Schindele. The bus picks up senior citizens for local shopping every Wednesday. The bus goes to Burnsville the third Thursday of each month. For reservations call 952-496- 8341.
