Most Holy Trinity Bingo is Nov. 13

Most Holy Trinity Church in Veseli will have bingo at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13.

There is a small price for admission, which includes one card and lunch.


Legion Post 45 meets Nov. 15

Charles Borak Post 45 of the American Legion, New Prague, will hold its monthly meeting at the Park Ballroom clubroom 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15.

Dues for the coming year are payable at the meeting.

Lunch and refreshments will be served afterwards.


Legion Auxiliary will meet Nov. 15

Charles Borak American Legion Auxiliary Unit #45 of New Prague meets 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, at the Park Ballroom.

Reminder for the cookie walk fund-raising project on Saturday, Nov. 19, at the Legion Clubroom. Holiday cookies and neck pillows will be available to purchase. The Clubroom opens to the public at 7 a.m. Proceeds fund Veterans' projects, local and Military.

New members are welcome. Members should pay dues so they can be submitted. Membership questions: Alberta 952-758-3522.

Bar committee: Lois Solheid, Mary Ann Terwedo, Lucille Tikalsky and Laurie Tolzmann. Bring a 9 by 13 pan of bars for the lunch.


Alzheimer's support group meets Nov. 15

The Lutheran Home: Belle Plaine and its Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association provide resources and a support group for people's lives touched by Alzheimer's and other memory loss disorders.

The monthly group is free and open to the public. The meeting is from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, at Kingsway Retirement Living in the Ratzkeller. Caring and Sharing will be the topic.

Golden Agers meeting is Nov. 15

Lonsdale Golden Agers will meet 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, at the Crusader Civic Center. Bingo will be played. Ham sandwiches will be served by the Committee: Gladys Douda, Angie Sirek and Mary Jean Sirek. All seniors 55 and older are welcome to join. If interested call Marion 507-744-2187.


Historical Society exhibit to open

Scott County Historical Society's (SCHS) Under Where? Unmentionables Exposed exhibit exposes the history of undergarments. It opens with a frank talk about the history of knickers, bustles and what-nots by SCHS executive director Kathleen Klehr, 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17.

November Kids Kraft on Nov. 19

Gather up the kids for some great family fun! Listen to the story Turkey Trouble by Wendy Silvano and make a Thanksgiving turkey craft at the Scott County Historical Society's November Kids Kraft. Scott HHW Facility closed for holiday

The Scott County Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Facility and RE-USE Room will be closed Thursday, Nov. 24, and Saturday, Nov. 26, for Thanksgiving.

The Scott County HHW Facility and RE-USE Room are located at 588 Country Trail East (Hwy 282) in Spring Lake Township.
