Melanie Deutsch qualifies for state diving meet

New Prague High School diver Melanie Deutsch placed fourth at the Section 1A meet last week in Austin and qualified for the Class A State Swimming and Diving Meet, to be held next week at the University of Minnesota Aquatics Center.

Preliminaries for the diving competition will be Monday, Nov. 20, at noon, with the finals starting at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 22.

Deutsch becomes the third New Prague High School athlete in five years to qualify for the state meet in diving.
